Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw almonds, soaked overnight
  • 2 cups filtered water (for blending)
  • pinch sea salt (optional, for flavor)
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for aroma)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional, for warmth)

Method

  1. Place the soaked almonds in a high-speed blender. Add 2 cups of fresh filtered water, along with optional sea salt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  2. Begin blending on a low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. For an extra smooth sauce, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag to remove any pulp. Press firmly to extract all liquid.
  4. Transfer the finished almond sauce to an airtight container. Refrigerate immediately and consume within 3-5 days for best freshness.

Notes

- For extra smoothness, strain the blended almond sauce through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag. This removes any tiny almond pieces that remain.
- Adjust the consistency: if the almond sauce is too thick, add a tablespoon of water at a time until it reaches your desired pourable or spoonable thickness.
- Storage: Store the almond sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Stir well before each use as it may separate.
