Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vegan mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine vegan mayonnaise, yellow mustard, and agave syrup with a whisk until smooth.
  2. Add garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika to the mixture. Stir thoroughly for 30 seconds until all spices are fully incorporated.
  3. Taste the mustard and adjust seasoning as desired, adding 1/2 teaspoon more agave for sweetness or 1 teaspoon more mustard for tang.
  4. Serve immediately, or transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to one week.

Notes

- For a thicker sauce, reduce the agave syrup slightly or add a pinch more mustard. For a thinner dressing, a tiny splash of plant-based milk can help.
- Taste and adjust: I always taste the sauce after initial mixing and often add a little more mustard for tang or agave for sweetness, depending on what I'm serving it with.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. The flavors often deepen overnight, making it even better the next day.
